Denver Broncos pass rusher Frank Clark’s time with the team is approaching an abrupt halt. Per Field Yates of ESPN, Clark will be traded or released in the upcoming days. The 30-year-old inked a one-year, $5.4 million contract with Denver this offseason. He restructured his contract yesterday, giving back $1.7 million in guaranteed money.
Frank Clark’s days as a Bronco are coming to an end, per sources. Be it via a trade or release, the team will be moving on from Clark soon.
It’s the second pass rusher Denver will have parted ways with in recent days, as the team traded Randy Gregory less than a week ago.…

Clark is the second Denver pass rusher to be on the move on the season, with former teammate Randy Gregory getting traded to the San Francisco 49ers early this month. The Broncos traded Gregory and a 2024 seventh-round pick for a 2024 sixth-round pick. Clark could net a similar return but provides a more established track record.
Frank Clark: NFL Career
Frank Clark is in year nine of his NFL career. The former second-round pick spent his first four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. Clark earned Pro Bowl honors in his first three seasons while helping the Chiefs win a Super Bowl in 2019 and 2022. The six-foot-three edge rusher starred during Kansas City’s first championship run, tallying five sacks and seven QB hits in three games. He also netted 2.5 sacks during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning season in 2023.
The Frank Clark Era in Denver
Frank Clark has been nonexistent in a Denver Broncos uniform this season. The three-time Pro Bowler has no sacks or QB hits while earning just two tackles in two games. Clark had missed time this season with a partial abductor tear and was ruled out for Week 6 (illness) before the media made the Broncos’ intentions of trading the defensive end public.
The Denver Broncos are amid a nightmare season in 2023. Defensively, they have allowed the most points and yards this season. The absence of offseason signee Frank Clark has not helped, with Denver doing little to nothing to stop opposing offenses. Clark is not the first, nor last Denver Bronco, to get linked to a trade. Former teammate Randy Gregory got dealt earlier this month, while wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton remain rumored to be available in trade talks.
