Florida State is still dealing with the fallout of missing out on the College Football Playoff. However, the offseason waits for no one and the Seminoles have been busy trying to recruit the transfer portal. Florida State Lands Edge Marvin Jones Jr.
Jones Jr. was a reserve linebacker for the Bulldogs the past couple of seasons. In 2023 he had 12 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. This move is likely one for more playing time and he should get plenty of it for the Seminoles. His father played for the Seminoles so that likely factored in his decision. He is a former five-star recruit and the no. 20 overall recruit in the 2022 class.
2024 Outlook
The program still has a lot of questions for 2024. They haven’t been very aggressive in the transfer portal which has led to some criticism. However, all it takes is a couple of players to really swing a program. It is flashy to land player after player but it can be about quality over quantity. Florida State is hoping that a couple of quality players can help them stay on top of the ACC.
The Seminoles will be out for revenge in 2024. They will want to prove that they deserve to be in this year.
