Finding those late round picks that boom can be the difference in winning and losing your fantasy football league. To help readers prepare for their fantasy football drafts we will take a look at a few guys that are going way lower than they should be. These players have the ability to make you a league winner in 2022. All of the ADP’s (average draft pick) listed are based on the sleeper app.
RB J.K Dobbins ADP:46.8 (RB22)
J.K Dobbins had 134 carries for 805 yards (6.0 YPC lead the NFL) and 9 touchdowns in his rookie season in 2020 before tearing his ACL in the 2021 pre-season. He is being taken this low due to the ACL injury but that type of injury is not the concern it once used to be. The Ravens are one of the most run-heavy teams in the NFL and we should see Dobbins have the majority of the workload. Expect Dobbins to have more carries than he had in 2020 resulting in 1,000+ rushing yards and double digits touchdowns.
WR Michael Pittman ADP:49.8 (WR18)
Michael Pittman had 88 receptions for 1,082 yards and 6 touchdowns in his second year in the NFL finishing as the WR17. The Colts newly acquired QB Matt Ryan should improve Pittman’s fantasy stock this season. Pittman is only 24 years old and should keep getting better in 2022. With Matt Ryan at QB I’d expect to see more touchdown from Pittman. We could easily see Pittman finish as a top 10 WR in year three.
RB Damian Harris ADP:66.6 (RB27)
Damien Harris being drafted as the 27th RB is crazy after coming off a year where he finished as the RB14. Harris was tied for 2nd in the NFL last season in rushing touchdowns with 15. Harris is heading into his contract season and the Patriots love to run their RBs heavy before letting them go in free agency. There is no reason to think Harris can’t have another top 15 finish. Him being drafted in the 6th and 7th rounds of drafts seems a bit crazy.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown ADP:68.3 (WR28)
Amon-Ra started off a bit slow in his rookie season before exploding during the last six weeks of the season. From weeks 12-18 St. Brown averaged 22.5 fantasy points per game only trailing Cooper Kupp in that span. He did that with Jared Goff and Tim Boyle as his two QBs. He finished as the WR21 last year and there is a good chance he finishes in the top 20 in year two.
WR Darnell Mooney ADP:74.6 (WR31)
Mooney broke out last year in his second year in the NFL posting 81 receptions for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns. He did this while having one of the most unstable QB situations last year. Justin Fields, Andy Dalton and Nick Foles all got starts for the Bears last year. This year Fields will be the starter and should have a much improved second year while targeting Mooney heavily. Fields did not get starter reps in the preseason last year. This year Fields and Mooney will have more time in the off-season to build chemistry. Mooney finished as the WR24 last year and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him finish in the top 20 this year.
