After four weeks of the 2024 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers were 2-2 and coming off of a frustrating 31-29 loss at home to the Minnesota Vikings. Since then, they have won three consecutive games and are just a half game behind the aforementioned Vikings and Detroit Lions for first place in the NFC North (both teams are 5-1).
Of course, quarterback Jordan Love has been a huge factor in the team’s success during their three-game winning streak. In his last three games, Love has completed 67% of his passes for 702 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions.
On the season, Love has a 63% completion percentage, 1,351 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and an NFL-leading eight interceptions (he is actually tied with Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs for the most interceptions in the league).
Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur Reveals Jordan Love’s Superpower

The Packers won a thrilling game against the Houston Texans on Sunday by the score of 24-22. New kicker Brandon McManus capped off Love’s fourth career game-winning drive with a 45-yard field goal as time expired.
Love finished the day 24/33 for 220 yards, three touchdown passes, two interceptions, and a passer rating of 95.5.
The Packers quarterback threw a couple of interceptions on risky throws, but the defense was able to keep Houston’s offense mostly in check (though Joe Mixon did have 115 rushing yards and two touchdowns).
Despite the turnovers, Love never lost confidence and, as mentioned, was able to orchestrate a game-winning drive with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.
After the contest, head coach Matt LaFleur revealed that this confidence and ability to overcome mistakes is part of what makes Love so special:

“I just talked to him about it. That’s his superpower. No matter what’s happened, whether good or bad, he continues to fight and be resilient. The moment is never too big for him.
“But I thought that was huge for him to be able to take us all the way down the field and give us an opportunity to kick a field goal. Hats off to him.”
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Played Well When Trailing

As mentioned, Love threw two interceptions against the Texans on Sunday. While those plays were frustrating at the time, looking at his overall performance shows a unique aspect of Love’s game.
Neither of his picks came when the Packers were losing:

❄️ 3 TDs
❄️ 0 INTs

These numbers prove what LaFleur said about his quarterback: nothing rattles Love. It would have been easy for him to panic or force plays that would not have worked. Instead, he trusted the game plan, his team, and himself.
