Despite receiving a scare on Sunday, the Detroit Lions will have their top weapon on offense against the Las Vegas Raiders. Star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown popped up on the injury report this weekend with an illness but plans to play on Monday Night Football.
Whether St. Brown is entirely over his injury bug is undetermined, but Jared Goff’s favorite weapon is on track to play on Monday. The USC product has dominated this season and is fresh off a 13-reception, 102-yard effort against the Baltimore Ravens.
Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: Epic 2023
Amon-Ra St. Brown, a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, came on late as a rookie, catching 90 passes for 912 yards and five scores. The six-foot wideout improved in 2022, snagging 109 balls for 1,161 yards and six scores while earning Pro Bowl honors.
St. Brown is amid a career season, averaging a career-high 92.8 receiving yards per game. He has caught 51 passes and three touchdowns in six games.
Lions: Plenty of Receiving Options if St. Brown isn’t 100%
Amon-Ra St. Brown should be a full-go on Monday, but if not, the Lions have a war chest of pass-catchers to lean on. Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta has been excellent, while rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs has caught the ball well out of the backfield. Meanwhile, receivers Josh Reynolds and Kalif Raymond have performed admirably this season. Reynolds has 21 receptions for 384 yards and three scores, while Raymond has 16 catches for 207 yards and a touchdown.
