The Chicago Bears are at a massive fork in the road ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. While the front office likely still has their head on a swivel considering both diverging roads, Bears wide receiver DJ Moore appears to know what path is truly best.
Moore has been a vocal supporter of current starting quarterback Justin Fields all season long. Even in the NFL’s final week of action, Moore’s sentiments have not changed on his present QB1.
Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Continues To Back Quarterback Justin Fields
Moore recently appeared on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” and was asked by host Kay Adams about the mood within the Bears’ locker room once their season ended. The Maryland alum immediately vouched for Fields with his answer.
“I’m an advocate for Justin. Stick by my guy until otherwise and I’m still going to stick by him because he’s a good quarterback. I’m looking forward to see what the future holds,” said Moore.
Adams followed up by asking about the team’s treasure trove of draft capital and what Moore wants the team to do with their picks. Once again, Moore backed Fields with his response despite neither question directly being about Fields and his future with the team.
“I’m going to stick with Justin. Trade back and get some more O-line, and we need some depth at receiver,” Moore responded.

DJ Moore Had A Career Year With Justin Fields In Their First Season Together
In his first year catching passes from Justin Fields, Moore had the best season of his career. Moore tallied career highs in receptions (96), receiving yards (1,363), receiving touchdowns (8) and basically every other receiving stat you can think of. It’s clear that Moore and Fields have been a productive combination so far. It’s also understandable why Moore doesn’t exactly want to rock the boat.
Moore and Adams discussed the possibility of drafting blue chip wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to give Fields another top target. Moore grew up with the Ohio State alum as both were Philadelphia natives. Despite the 5-year age gap, the two wideouts ran track together during their younger years. Perhaps the Bears could trade down to select Harrison and get back additional assets.
But could the Bears really trade the No. 1 pick with a star QB prospect like Caleb Williams available for the second year in a row? Only time will tell.
