    BYU vs Utah Tech

BYU vs Utah Tech this Saturday afternoon in a chilly one in Provo, Utah. BYU is coming off a win against Boise State and they are looking like they can finish it out strong. Utah Tech is coming off a win over Tarleton State. This BYU vs Utah Tech game will be the Cougar’s final home game for the 2022 season and their final as an independent because they move to the Big 12 for years to come. They will honor 34 players on Senior day. This group of 16 true seniors and 18 juniors will play their final game this Saturday in Lavell Edwards Stadium. Many names have been heard for years on gameday and others have only been said a few times no matter the case this is it. So be there if you can to support them as they play one final game on this field and will move on from football. Some will go on to play at the next level whether that be NFL, USFL, or XFL they will go on.

What to Expect from the Cougars

The Offense is looking strong after the bye week and strong looking against the Broncos. Jaren Hall is looking back to his old self running around and throwing the ball on target. Puka Nacua has been what he has been all season and playing strong when he is on the field. He is BYU’s top receiver and ready to potentially play his last home game as a Cougar. The run game still needs some help but maybe they can get something going this week.

The defense was looking good against Boise State. Let’s hope that it’s the same ones who show up to play on Saturday and they are ready to play ball this game should be easy for them but they are still figuring out some of the ropes so don’t count on it being an easy game for them. The backups who are now starters as it doesn’t look like Wilgar or Tooley are coming back for this season they will need to step it up and take over the defense.

What to the Expect from the Trailblazers

Victor Gabalis is at quarterback for the Trailblazers and he has been playing decent ball all season long. Quail Conley is at running back and put up over 200 yards last week so the Cougar defense is going to need to stop the run game. They put up over 500 yards in total offense during that win over Tarleton so the defense needs to be on their toes and expect anything. BYU vs Utah Tech isn’t going to be easy for this Cougar defense they will need to be ready.

The defense allowed over 400 yards last week so the offense will have plenty of chances as long as they don’t get fancy or forget to protect the ball. The offense and Jaren Hall will need to be playing well and not seeing this as another easy game because this season there have been a couple and those could have gone either way.
