Band of Brothers
BYU Football is known for the family side of the football. The team is full of brothers who are currently on the team or have had a brother on the team. When someone reads their jersey they might think of their brother first depending on how well they follow the team. This article will be for the ones who are currently on the team and have a brother on the team or have had one on the team. I will also talk about what this family has brought to BYU and what they will continue to bring to the team.
KJ, Jaren, and Kyson Hall

KJ 2015-2017 playing running back for the Cougars. His biggest career game was in 2017 against San Jose State with 112 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Jaren 2018-2022 playing quarterback for BYU football. Hall’s biggest game so far came last week against Boise State passing for 377 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Kyson 2022 playing wide receiver for the Cougars has yet to play a snap as he is only a freshman and is behind some very talented receivers.
Isaiah, Kai, Samson, and Puka Nacua

Isaiah played defensive back for BYU.
Kai 2013-2016 played defensive back for the Cougars. He had 14 interceptions in his time at BYU. His career night came against Mississippi in 2016 where he put up nine tackles and one interception.
Samson 2021 played wide receiver after transferring from Utah. He had his night against Virginia in 2021 with 107 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Puka 2021-2022 playing wide receiver after transferring from Washington. So far, his best game came against Baylor in 2021 where he had 168 yards and one touchdown.
Isaiah, and Jackson Kaufusi

Isaiah 2016-2020 played linebacker for BYU. His career game came against UMass in 2018 where he had 14 tackles and one pass breakup.
Jackson 2018-2022 playing linebacker for the Cougars. His best game so far came against Idaho State in 2021 putting up six tackles.
Ben and Matthew Criddle

Ben 2005-2007 played defensive back for BYU. His career night came against Utah in 2007 with nine tackles.
Matthew 2018-2022 playing defensive back following in his brother’s footsteps. His career game came against Idaho State in 2021 with five tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup.
Baylor, Gunner, and Tate Romney

Baylor 2018-2021 played quarterback for BYU. Baylor’s career game came against South Florida in 2021 with 305 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Gunner 2018-2022 playing wide receiver for the Cougars. His career night came against Troy in 2020 with 138 yards.
Tate 2022 playing linebacker for BYU. He has yet to play a game for the Cougars.
Austin and Jackson McChesney

Austin 2016-2018 played defensive back for BYU. His night came against Cincinnati with zero tackles but an interception for 37 yards.
Jackson 2019-2022 playing running back for the Cougars. His career game came against UMass in 2019 with 228 yards and two touchdowns.
Micah, Jacob, and Ammon Hannemann

Jacob 2012 a defensive back medical redshirted and then went on to play baseball for the Cougars.
Micah 2012, 2015-2017 played defensive back. He had his career night against Michigan in 2015, with 10 tackles and two pass breakups.
Ammon 2019-2022 playing defensive back. Ammon had his career game against Baylor this season with eight tackles.
Zach, Josh, and Micah Wilson

Zach 2018-2020 played quarterback for BYU football and now is playing for the New York Jets. His night came against UCF in his final game with 425 yards and three touchdowns.
Josh 2020-2022 playing linebacker for the Cougars. His best game so far has come against South Florida this year with two tackles.
Micah 2022 playing linebacker for BYU. He has not played a game yet.
Isaac and Preston Rex

Isaac 2019-2022 playing tight end for the Cougars. His career night came against UCF in the 2020 bowl game with 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Preston 2022 playing defensive back for BYU. He has yet to play a game as he is behind some great defensive backs.
Trajan, Keenan and Logan Pili

Trajan 2013,2016-2019 played defensive lineman for the Cougars. Trajan’s biggest game was against Arizona in 2018 with four tackles.
Keenan 2016, 2019-2022 playing linebacker for the BYU Cougars. His biggest game so far is the Arizona game last season where he put up 17 tackles and one sack.
Logan 2022 playing linebacker for the Cougars. Logan has yet to play a game for the Cougars.
Austin and Dalton Riggs

Austin 2020-2022 playing deep snapper for the Cougars. He has played in 27 games so far in his career.
Dalton 2022 playing deep snapper just like his older brother. He has yet to play in a game yet for the Cougars.
Clark and Campbell Barrington

Clark 2018-2022 playing offensive line for BYU. He has played in 43 games and started in 37 of those games.
Campbell 2021-2022 playing offensive line for the Cougars. Campbell has played in 15 games and started in six of them.
Zac, Parker, and Sam Dawe

Zac 2016-2020 played defensive linemen for the Cougars. Zac’s career game came against Houston in 2020 when he put up eight tackles, one sack, and one pass breakup.
Parker 2013-2016 played offensive linemen for BYU. He played in 25 games as a Cougar protecting Taysom Hill, and Tanner Mangum.
Sam 2022 playing offensive lineman for the Cougars. He has not yet played in a game for BYU football.
