The Buffalo Bills were just two wins away from bagging their first-ever Super Bowl title. Unfortunately for them, they had to face off against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round, and once again, Buffalo came up short.
Despite their recent failure, however, star quarterback Josh Allen remains adamant that a title is still very much within reach for this squad. The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback is also well aware of the fact that the burden heavily rests on him.
Josh Allen Speaks Out on Buffalo Bills’ Title Aspirations
Allen knows that the Bills are on the verge of greatness. He also isn’t denying the fact, however, that they have come up short time and time again.
According to Allen, it’s on him to carry this team to glory:
“We keep saying we’re close. We’re right there, you know?” Allen said, via Patrick Andres of SI. “It comes down to making one or two more plays. We need to. It’s heavy on my shoulders.”
I see no lies here. The Bills have more than a few talented players on their roster, but there’s no denying that most of the pressure will be on Allen to lead his squad toward their ultimate objective.
The Chiefs have been the thorn in their side for years now, and Allen also knows that they will need to go through the champs if they want to give the Bills Mafia their first taste of Super Bowl glory in their storied history.
A lot will be expected from Allen this coming season, and by the looks of it, he’s more than ready to take on the challenge. Again.
