Odell Beckham Jr. is now just days away from making his highly-anticipated debut for the Baltimore Ravens. The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver will now be suiting up for his fourth team in nearly a decade-long career.
On Thursday, however, OBJ hit a major snag ahead of his supposed debut.
Baltimore Ravens Place Odell Beckham Jr. on Injury Report
League insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported on Thursday that Beckham had sustained some sort of ankle injury and as a result, was limited in practice. The team reportedly added him to the injury list, which cast doubt on OBJ’s availability for Sunday’s Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans.
It’s obviously a massive year ahead for Beckham after missing all of last season due to an ACL injury. The former Rookie of the Year took all of last season to recover from surgery on his knee, and now that he has a fresh start in Baltimore, the 30-year-old is obviously raring to go. It goes without saying that it would be a real downer if he were forced to miss what would have been his first game for the Ravens due to injury.
Odell Beckham Jr. Sends Out Cryptic Tweet
OBJ has had his fair share of controversies through the years, and it seems like he’s stirring one up again right about now. The former LSU standout quickly took to Twitter after news broke about his injury. It appears that Beckham is refuting the report:
“Believe everything on the internet …😭😎” Beckham wrote in his tweet.
Believe everything on the internet …😭😎

It is unclear what the Baltimore wide receiver meant by his cryptic tweet. However, given the timing, it does seem to be related to his latest injury news. We’re just not sure which part of the report he is trying to dispute here.
Naturally, OBJ’s mysterious tweet got NFL Twitter all riled up:
Man he’s fine bro our fanbase overreacts so much due to 2021 and last year but we gotta chill Saunders is gone https://t.co/B3Gml9Y3Kq

I tried to tell them you weren't hurt, just a rest and limited session. They didn't believe 😭

There were obviously some mixed reactions to OBJ’s latest social media activity, which just goes to show how polarizing Beckham has become to NFL fans.
At this point, I guess we’ll just have to wait for an official update before we are able to determine OBJ’s status for Sunday’s season opener against the Texans.
