Since signing with the Baltimore Ravens in the spring, Odell Beckham Jr. has received plenty of praise from the team’s leadership. That praise continued on Friday, when General Manager Eric DeCosta told reporters, “he’s probably exceeded my expectations to this point.”
However, going into 2023, Beckham has high expectations himself. He made that known recently during an interview.

As he prepares for his first game in nearly 19 months, Odell Beckham Jr. had quite a message for the rest of the NFL:
“I can see myself being here…I feel like I’m ready to explode,” the 31-year-old and Super Bowl 56 champion told Josina Anderson.

As part of their offseason overhaul at the wideout position, the Ravens signed Odell Beckham and Nelson Agholor. They also drafted Zay Flowers with the 22nd pick in the NFL Draft. A trio of Beckham, Flowers, and Rashod Bateman, along with tight end Mark Andrews, could be the best group of pass-catchers Lamar Jackson has ever had.
After he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee Beckham missed the entire 2022 season. Additionally, he has missed at least three or more games in five of the past six seasons. The veteran hasn’t recorded 1,000 receiving yards since 2019 and hasn’t accumulated double-digit touchdown catches since 2016.
He plans to change all of that in 2023.
