Following the bombshell that USC and UCLA will be moving to the Big 10 in 2024, there has been a lot of chatter as to what the future College Football landscape will look like. The current perception is that we are heading to a more pro-style, two-conference system, at least at the current Power Five level. Earlier today, Five-Star 2023 OL Kadyn Proctor out of Southeast Polk High School committed to Iowa. The Manning Passing Academy concluded this past Sunday the 26th at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The annual summer football camp, founded by Ole Miss and New Orleans QB Archie Manning in 1996, is touted as the place to be for high school QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs who want to learn the sport and compete against other players. Texas A&M targets Tony Mitchell and Jaden Rashada committed to Alabama and Miami respectively Sunday. Tony Mitchell is a 5-star cornerback out of Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. The 6’2” rising senior has boasted impressive stats in his first three years playing high school ball, accumulating over 200 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 7 interceptions, 2 of which he took to the house for touchdowns.
