The NFL Draft is only hours away, and for one Iowa player, his dreams are about to come true. Cornerback Cooper DeJean is expected to be a first-round pick in the draft, and he is getting crushed for a video of him going around the internet.
Iowa’s Caitlin Clark Changed Women’s Basketball
Iowa is home to one of the best female basketball players we have ever seen in Caitlin Clark. She has taken the women’s basketball game by storm for the last two years and was drafted first overall in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever last week.
Clark may be the greatest Hawkeye of all time, but another Hawkeye in DeJean thinks he could take her on the basketball court.
DeJean Can Take Clark On The Basketball Court
A video from Yahoo Sports came out on Thursday showing DeJean being interviewed. In the video, he was talking about what NFL teams have asked him to do through the draft process, and he said, “I wouldn’t say it’s really weird, but a lot of teams have asked me if I could beat Caitlin Clark one-on-one, just being from Iowa. I said I think I can…She’d probably score a few buckets on me, but I think I could pull it off.

DeJean Is Making A Bold Move
It is very bold for DeJean to think he could beat Clark one-on-one, but DeJean is an all-class athlete and was one of Iowa’s best high school basketball players.
There are always highlights of DeJean from his basketball days going around the internet, showing him dunking and how athletic he was, so there’s a good chance he could beat Clark one-on-one. But being a Hawkeye, you can’t publicly state that you can beat the best player in women’s college basketball history in her sport.
