The Tennessee Titans will head to Kansas City for a Sunday Night matchup featuring two teams atop their respective divisions. For the Titans, this is the biggest game since being easily handled by the Buffalo Bills in a Monday night loss back in week 2. Here are 3 considerations to preview this important game between the Titans and Chiefs.  Can The Titans Win? As we’ve seen so far this NFL season, anything can happen regardless of expectations.  That being said, the last time these two teams met up, the Titans handed the Chiefs a 27-3 loss.  These teams have changed…

Here’s a look at this weekend’s matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans in an AFC South showdown. The Tennessee Titans (3-2), fresh off their week 6 bye, look to extend their three-game winning streak at home against the Indianapolis Colts (3-2-1). The Titans took the first game between these AFC South rivals winning 24-17 in Indianapolis.  Let’s preview this Week 7 AFC South matchup. Keys to Consider in Indianapolis Colts-Tennessee Titans AFC South Matchup For the Titans, stopping the run has been a strength so far.  They are tied for second with the fewest rushing yards allowed…

The Tennessee Titans held the line at home last week, earning their 2nd win of the season by beating the Indianapolis Colts 24-17. This key win was their first against a divisional opponent and now they hit the road for a non-conference matchup against the Washington Commanders.  Considerations Ahead of the Game  The Commanders (1-3) have suffered tough divisional losses the last two weeks, scoring a total of 18 points against the Eagles and Cowboys.  Defensively, Washington has been pretty solid against the run. Per Pro Football Reference, they rank 16th in rushing yards allowed. That’s not great but they…

NFL AFC South Preview: Titans vs. Colts It’s week 4 in the NFL and it’s time for a preview of an important game in the AFC South. The Tennessee Titans enter October with a record of 1-2, having earned a close home victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. This home win eased some of the concerns generated over the previous two losses.  Now, the Tennessee Titans head to Indianapolis to face the Colts who are coming off a huge home win of their own. Fresh, off a home upset win, the Colts hope to add momentum against their divisional foe.…

The Tennessee Titans dropped to 0-2 in a primetime matchup on Monday Night Football. They were handled rather easily by the Buffalo Bills in a 41-7 final. Heading into week 3, the concerns about the Titans are real. They suffered an embarrassing home defeat in week 1 against a New York Giants team many considered inferior.   Monday, on a national stage, they showed less than they did in Week 1. Granted, a night home-opener at Buffalo is far from easy, but the Titans were the AFC’s #1 seed heading into last year’s playoffs.  Offensively, the four turnovers stand out.  Tannehill,…

Week 1 of the Tennessee Titans preseason game resulted in a 23-10 loss. Preseason game wins and losses matter little. Coaches are more focused on evaluating positional talent and trying to build out a depth chart in three quick games. Malik Willis easily stood out for the Titans in week one.   The Week 2 preseason 13-3 win against The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went a little differently for Willis.  He once again got the start and immediately faced fierce pressure from the Buccaneer defense.  The first play of the game, Willis made a really strong throw over the middle to Nick…

The Tennessee Titans  completed a trade today with the Las Vegas Raiders. They have acquired Safety Tyree Gillespie.  The Titans will send a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft to the Raiders for Gillespie’s services.   Gillespie played college at Missouri and was drafted by the Raiders in the 4th round of the 2021 NFL draft. He played in 11 games for the Raiders in 2021 but never started. He did see time with the special teams unit, playing in 49% of the snaps. The Titans are hopeful the move will provide some solid young depth to both the…

Tennessee Titans vs. Baltimore Ravens Preseason Overview Malik Willis Gets the 1st Half Reps The Tennessee Titans began the 2022 preseason schedule at the Baltimore Ravens.  For this game, I want to focus on a young player I’ve mentioned before. Malik Willis played every offensive snap in the first half for the Titans.  The Ravens, as they are known to do, brought a lot of defensive pressure on Willis throughout the first  half. Willis started the game 0-3 passing, with the rushing game offering little help. Julius Chestnut, the undrafted free-agent RB, was stripped for a fumble which the Ravens…
