With Deshaun Watson getting suspended for eleven games, all eyes are on Browns’ quarterback Jacoby Brissett to step up. Although the possibility of Jimmy Garoppolo being traded to the Browns is real, it’s probably unlikely. https://twitter.com/CBSSportsHQ/status/1560299105892573184?s=20&t=hsUmifqc9lsqy8Nkebp3qA Browns fans are ready for a good season. With Watson out, that just puts a lot of pressure on Brissett to perform well so the Browns can have a good season. But, Brissett seems confident in himself. He has also said that he is continuing to become more comfortable with the Browns’ offense. “I think we have a plan and we’re going along with…

With Deshaun Watson being suspended for 11 games of the NFL season, the Browns are in an interesting situation. They could keep Jacoby Brissett as their starter until Watson comes back, but some fans want Jimmy Garoppolo. Especially former Browns’ GM Michael Lombardi thinks the Browns should trade for Garoppolo. He says that a move like that can save their season. “I know this is a little bit of a disruption, but you can go get Garoppolo and save your season.” The Browns obviously feel content with Jacoby Brissett, though. https://twitter.com/CBSSportsHQ/status/1560299105892573184?s=20&t=bTbNYQhY7ZVXv8b3cS53gA But, Lombardi thinks not getting Garoppolo would be a…

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the NFL and the NFLPA have agreed on a Deshaun Watson suspension of 11 games. Along with the suspension, Watson has been fined $5 million. It was also said that the $5 million is going to charity. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1560294755279556608?s=20&t=kbBOPEtQG1cS8qlPQTYSQg The NFL appealed Judge Robinson’s ruling of six games, and then Roger Goodell appointed Peter Harvey to hear the ruling. But, they came to an agreement instead. Watson has maintained his innocence of his sexual assault and misconduct allegations, but he did say sorry for the troubles he has caused in a statement released earlier today. “I’m…

After a lackluster year last season, the Cleveland Browns’ defense is ready to play their best football. Sometimes, it would get frustrating to watch if you are a Browns fan. There were some times when the defense was good, but there were also times that were very bad, as said by Anthony Walker. “You can never take for granted unity and familiarity with your teammates, with the system, with the playbook, whatever it is. As much as you say you should be able to plug-and-play this guy from this system and put him in your system, it’s not the same.…

The Cleveland Browns have disappointed fans many times this off-season. With the whole Deshaun Watson situation, and then the gift boxes the Browns gave out to season ticket holders, fans have been let down many times going into the next season.  But now, the Browns are going to try to make up for it, at least a little bit. They have now announced a program called “Barking Backers” for their fans’ dogs. https://twitter.com/Browns/status/1559953222353260546?s=20&t=rdnhNY1I0yaW7CtTk-QbFw Supposedly, the program is supposed to have promotions and events that are going to cater specifically to dog owners. The main reason the Browns did this was…

If there is one thing the Cleveland Browns can expect this season, it’s a lot of boos. With them trading for Deshaun Watson, who has 24 sexual assault and misconduct allegations, they’re about to hear it from opposing fanbases. They even heard boos during their first pre-season game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. https://twitter.com/Will_Wodka/status/1558229457323925516?s=20&t=lx5matA9I6DSO0mApXp3yQ With some players possibly being thrown off by the boos, offensive lineman Joel Bitonio isn’t too concerned about it. “You know, I think once Deshaun came out of the game we got booed less, but you go to a road game they boo you anyway, so you…

Back in March, the Cleveland Browns released the NFLPA President JC Tretter. Tretter is a solid offensive lineman, so many are wondering how he hasn’t been signed by a team yet. But, Tretter’s former Browns teammate Joel Bitonio thinks he knows the answer. “When you have a guy that’s top-five, top-10 at center in the league and he’s not on a roster, you know, and he’s the NFLPA president and maybe some of the owners don’t appreciate what he brings to the table on certain topics when he’s trying to protect player safety and things of that nature, it seems…

The Browns’ first pre-season game was interesting. Deshaun Watson had a poor debut, Martin Emerson flashed some potential, and then running back Jerome Ford led the Browns to victory. In the rushing category, Ford had 57 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries. He even broke out for a 41-yard run. https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1558241529231093760?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1558241529231093760%7Ctwgr%5E3fc3ae0aa02c0931ad43cd4c776822d375653265%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fbrownswire.usatoday.com%2F2022%2F08%2F12%2Frookie-jerome-ford-browns-highlights%2F His receiving stats were also pretty good. He had 45 receiving yards and one touchdown on four receptions. His one touchdown was also a pretty nice catch. https://twitter.com/BrownsMuse/status/1558263092882341888?s=20&t=9OIE4sI3ndK66CI_v7o44w Ford was impressive, but it could be difficult for him to make the roster. The Cleveland Browns have some good defensive weapons. Players like Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward get a lot of attention, but defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is putting on a show during training camp. Especially on day 13 of training camp, Clowney was wreaking havoc on the offensive line. https://twitter.com/MaryKayCabot/status/1559290815071096836?s=20&t=qGH5ZRCyWYRBdXcBz8ovlw This was probably the best day of Clowney’s training camp, and defensive run game coordinator Ben Bloom said he was excited to have him on the team. “Jadeveon’s really fun to be around. I mean, he’s got a lot of personality, a lot of energy. You can tell he enjoys playing…

The Browns will have to cut down their roster by five players by Tuesday, and Anthony Schwartz may be headed out soon. Now, it’s hard to be too tough on Anthony Schwartz since he is just now coming back from a knee injury, but his performance in the Browns’ first pre-season game was pathetic. With Deshaun Watson having a pretty ugly Browns debut, Schwartz didn’t really help him out. Watson went one for five on seven yards, with two of his incompletions were because of Schwartz dropping the ball. There was even a moment when Watson was visibly frustrated because…
