Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the NFL and the NFLPA have agreed on a Deshaun Watson suspension of 11 games. Along with the suspension, Watson has been fined $5 million. It was also said that the $5 million is going to charity.

The NFL appealed Judge Robinson’s ruling of six games, and then Roger Goodell appointed Peter Harvey to hear the ruling. But, they came to an agreement instead.
Watson has maintained his innocence of his sexual assault and misconduct allegations, but he did say sorry for the troubles he has caused in a statement released earlier today.
“I’m grateful that the disciplinary process has ended and extremely appreciative of the tremendous support I have received throughout my short time with the Browns organization. I apologize once again for any pain this situation has caused. I take accountability for the decisions I made. My focus going forward is on working to become the best version of myself on and off the field and supporting my teammates however possible while I’m away from the team. I’m excited about what the future holds for me in Cleveland.”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has also said that Watson has agreed to a professional treatment plan as a part of the agreement.
“Deshaun has committed to doing the hard work on himself that is necessary for his return to the NFL. This settlement requires compliance with a professional evaluation and treatment plan, a significant fine, and a more substantial suspension. We are grateful to Judge Robinson and Peter Harvey for their efforts in addressing these matters, which laid the foundation for reaching this conclusion.”
The most annoying thing about the whole process was how long it took. But, we can’t do anything about it.
So, with Watson gone for more than half of the season, Jacoby Brissett will have to step up for Cleveland.
