If there is one thing the Cleveland Browns can expect this season, it’s a lot of boos. With them trading for Deshaun Watson, who has 24 sexual assault and misconduct allegations, they’re about to hear it from opposing fanbases. They even heard boos during their first pre-season game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With some players possibly being thrown off by the boos, offensive lineman Joel Bitonio isn’t too concerned about it.
“You know, I think once Deshaun came out of the game we got booed less, but you go to a road game they boo you anyway, so you know what I mean? So we’ll see how it goes. I’m sure, it seems like more than ever, Cleveland against the world, so we’ll be ready for it.”
The boos probably didn’t help Watson in his first game back. In the short time he played, Watson threw one for five with seven yards.
We don’t even know how long Watson will be suspended and it’s already this bad. Judge Sue Robinson gave Watson a six-game suspension, but then the NFL decided to appeal the ruling. But, the appointed judge to hear the appeal, Peter Harvey, isn’t going to give a decision until there is a word on a settlement.
Watson was reported to be willing to agree on an eight-game suspension, along with a hefty fine of about $5 million. But, Roger Goodell will more than likely want more with how he described Watson’s allegations.
“She (Robinson) was very clear about the evidence. She reinforced the evidence, that there was multiple violations here and they were egregious, and that it was predatory behavior.”
The NFL will probably be looking for a suspension of at least a year, though. So, Watson probably won’t be playing this season.
Either way, this entire process has taken way too long.
