Jonathan Taylor was hands down the best running back in the league last season. There was a lot of talk that he got snubbed for MVP or at least Offensive Player of the Year as he put up video game numbers. However, it seems that he has regressed to start the 2022 campaign. Taylor for MVP? The running back was electrifying week in and week out last season. He led the league in rush attempts (332), rushing yards (1,811), rushing touchdowns (18), longest run (83 yards), rushing yards/game (106.5), and 40+ yard runs (5). The running back who tallied the…

The Jet’s offense has been led by veteran, Joe Flacco, to start the season. Second-year quarterback, Zach Wilson, suffered a meniscus tear and bone bruise in his right knee in the preseason opener. However, things are changing in week four as Wilson has been cleared to play and was named starting quarterback for the Jet’s week four matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jets’ Offense Without Wilson The Jets have started out the season 1-2 under Flacco. Although he ranked in the bottom half of the league in completion percentage (58.7%), Flacco ranks sixth in passing yards (901). Although he hasn’t…

Pittsburgh has looked rather underwhelming offensively through the first two weeks of the season. A lot of that has to do with the lack of production at the quarterback position. In the preseason, it was a toss-up for QB1 between Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett. Tomlin ruled the dice with Trubisky to start the season, some believing this to be the wrong decision. After a few starts, it may be time to let the rookie, Pickett, get a chance. Trubisky’s Lackluster Start There hasn’t been much to boast about offensively early on this season in Pittsburgh. Trubisky seems nervous to…

Electrifying. That is the best way to describe the Steelers defensively in their week one matchup with the Bengals. However, we saw a much different Steelers defense this past Sunday against the Patriots. They weren’t nearly as tantalizing and couldn’t seem to keep the Pats from marching down the field. Watt’s Absence Whenever you lose such a pivotal player like TJ Watt, you are going to feel it. As everyone knows, Watt suffered a torn pec in week one and was put on the IR last week. His absence against the Patriots was felt as the Steelers couldn’t get pressure…

Being named player of the week is a huge honor for anyone, to know that you put up one of the best performances across the league. This week’s honors boast big names such as Saquon Barkley and Patrick Mahomes. However, there are some new names such as rookie, Cade York, and second-year cornerback, Zech McPherson. AFC Offensive Player of the Week It isn’t surprising that one of the best quarterbacks in the league holds this honor in week one. Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, put on an absolute show as they steamrolled through the Cardinals 44-21. He posted a 76.9% completion…

Pittsburgh’s week one matchup with the Bengals ended with a few key players nursing injuries. TJ Watt, Najee Harris, and Mason Cole’s injury statuses are all up in the air at the moment. DPOY Injury to Sideline him for Weeks Reigning DPOY, TJ Watt, left the game in overtime due to a pec injury. The initial thought was that he had pulled it. If this were to have been the case, he would have been out for, most likely, the remainder of the season. However, after some tests and gathering opinions from multiple sources, Watt will not undergo surgery. He…

The Steelers came out strong in the first half of their season opener, mainly on the defensive side of the ball. On the other hand, their offense didn’t really impress much in their matchup with the Bengals. On top of that, injuries came late in the game which made the overtime period a bit harder. Staunch First Half Defense Pittsburgh came out of the gates tenaciously. In the first half, they forced four turnovers including three interceptions and one forced fumble and recovery. https://twitter.com/steelers/status/1569016692889587714?s=20&t=sTRMM0_2DhKFasGydy1viw They were led up front by Cam Heyward and reigning DPOY TJ Watt. The Steelers didn’t appear to be worried facing the former AFC champions in the first half of their season opener. The offense had trouble getting things rolling, but their defense looked to be in mid-season form. They tallied four sacks, three interceptions, and one forced fumble. Steelers Defense on Display in 1st Quarter Pittsburgh safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick, got things going immediately with a pick six only two minutes into the game to make it 7-0 Steelers. https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1569011628460625923?s=20&t=dv6OurcVLyhO3wTLMcnkOQ The Bengals first score came off of a rocket of a kick from Evan McPherson from 59 yards out. The league is full of great tight ends such as Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Mark Andrews among others. One player who didn’t think he would be known as one of the best tight ends in the league is Las Vegas’ Darren Waller. As it has been known, Waller became victim to substance abuse at a young age. He started off taking oxycontin at the age of 15 and later started indulging in alcohol. When speaking on how he felt at the time, Waller said, “I just didn’t respect who I was because I knew how much I was performing…
