The watch list for the 2022 John Mackey Award was released today. The John Mackey Award is awarded annually to the best tight end in college football. Its two most recent winners have been standouts with Kyle Pitts being a top-5 NFL Draft Pick, and Trey McBride gaining over 1,000 yards receiving despite being the main offensive threat on his team. This year’s field of candidates is as powerful as the tight-end position has become. Georgia has three players to watch out for whose biggest trouble
may be there is only one ball for them to share, while dark horse Isaac Rex of BYU has to be one of my favorites coming into the 2022 college football season.
