Why Travis Kelce Is Questionable For Sunday’s Game
We have a better idea why Travis Kelce is questionable for Sunday’s Game a day after Friday’s shocking injury report from the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs were already trying to overcome injury obstacles this week. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was practicing through a high-ankle sprain. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman was limited in practice and is questionable for the AFC Championship Game.
Kelce’s name seemed to pop out of nowhere on Friday afternoon. He wasn’t on Wednesday or Thursday’s injury report. By Friday afternoon, the seven-time All-Pro tight end was listed as questionable to play the Bengals with a back injury. The cause of the injury was unclear immediately following practice Friday.

According to Ryan Hannable, who covers golf with Bet MGM, CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz informed golf viewers that Kelce tweaked his back near the end of Friday’s practice.

A late practice injury is why Kelce is questionable for Sunday’s game. The injury could be a problem for the Chiefs. He’s their best pass-catcher and is needed with Mahomes’ injury. The Chiefs added depth at pass-catching positions for Sunday. They elevated two wide receivers and a tight end for the AFC Championship game.
Both the Chiefs and Bengals are dealing with injuries late in the postseason. The Bengals ruled out two starting offensive linemen for the game on Sunday.
