We’re a quarter of the way into the 2022 college football season, and now that we’ve had a chance to put our eyes on our favorite teams, let’s start making some money! Each Friday, I will post my Wells’ Winners and once we all start rolling in the dough, you can decide how you want to thank me. Let’s get started with the Week 4 College Football Betting Guide….
(All lines are accurate as of this posting)
#5 Clemson @ #21 Wake Forest
Both offenses are rolling right now, with each scoring at least 5 touchdowns in their first three games.
On the flip side, both defenses are still trying to figure things out, giving up more points in each of their respective subsequent games thus far.
The O/U is 55.5 Take the over. Enjoy the shootout.
Prediction: Clemson 40 – Wake Forest 27
Duke @ Kansas
No, not the roundball matchup you’re thinking. This is actually a battle between – checks notes – two programs that are 3-0. Wait, DUKE AND KANSAS ARE GOOD AT FOOTBALL?!
Lance Leipold vs Mike Elko. Blue Devils vs Jayhawks. Seems like we should figure out a way to get Bill Self and Coach K onto the field for the coin flip, doesn’t it?
I expect both teams to come out tentative. Again, neither of these programs are accustomed to attention, at least not on the gridiron. The coaches will have solid plans on defense, and I think we’re going to see a low scoring tilt.
The O/U is 63.5. I’m hammering the under.
Prediction: Kansas 27 – Duke 21
Bowling Green @ Mississippi State
The Fighting Mike Leach’s got stunned in Baton Rouge last week in a 31-16 loss that was close until late in the 4th quarter. I expect Will Rogers III and the Bulldogs to bounce back in a big way against a Falcon team that had an impressive win at home against Marshall last week, but they don’t have the talent to match up on either side of the ball.
MSU is averaging 34.6 points per game, and giving up just over 23; Bowling Green is scoring 36 a game and giving up 45.
Mississippi State wins, but the 31-point spread is too many points.
Prediction: Mississippi State 47 – Bowling Green 17
Arkansas @ Texas A&M (Arlington, TX)
The Aggies can’t score points and the Aggies don’t give up points. Through 3 games, their average game score is 21-9.
Arkansas can score points and Arkansas also gives up points. Through 3 games, their average game score is 38-27.
Neither team has looked right yet.
A&M has more talent, compared to Arkansas’ experience advantage. The Ags are also 9-1 over it’s last 10 against the Hogs.
A&M -2 is the play, just because I think they finally bust open the offense and overwhelm the Razorbacks.
Prediction: Texas A&M 28 – Arkansas 21
Make yourself some money, my friends.
Season: 0-0
