The Packers defeated the New Orleans Saints on Friday night 20-10. There were a lot of highlight plays from the Packers but there may be one you missed. Packers rookie Kingsley Enagbare absolutely embarrasses a Saints lineman with a crafty move.

This move is really clever. He baits the lineman into throwing a punch. The punch completely whiffs as Enagbare ducks under it and goes straight to the quarterback. He adds a Call of Duty style slide cancel and gets his hands on the quarterback. The only thing you could ask of the rookie is to finish the play and get the sack. However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that the move was effective.
Enagbare Providing Depth at the Edge
There is no question that Rashan Gary and Preston Smith are two premier edge rushers. The questions of the Packers defense came with depth. Kingsley Enagbare may be playing his way up the depth chart. Moves like this will disrupt plays and lead to sacks or other mistakes by the offense. For a 5th round pick, Enagbare has been a delightful surprise. Adding another edge rusher to be able to throw in will be key for the Packers edge rush. If they can keep bodies fresh and keep the pressure on opposing offenses, the Packers are going to be scary on defense.
Another Strong Rookie
The 2022 rookie class is looking strong. Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt have looked good in practice and the preseason. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs look to play key roles in the offense. Zach Tom, a 4th round pick, could end up being the starting right tackle. Kingsley Enagbare being the 3rd edge rusher and making an impact this season would be another feather in the cap of GM Brian Gutekunst.
This move by Kingsley Enagbare was pretty sick. Enagbare embarrasses the Saints lineman on this play. Hopefully he can embarrass more lineman this season.
