Kenny Pickett Injury
Kenny Pickett was taken out of the game against the Houston Texans late in the third quarter. The quarterback was taken down awkwardly by a defender who put all of his weight on Pickett’s injured leg. The Steelers’ young star was unable to get up and walk off on his own and the training staff had to come and assist him off of the field.
He was then officially listed as “Out” for the remainder of the game in which Pittsburgh got steamrolled by the Texans 30-6 in a game that Steelers fans did not see coming whatsoever.
Pickett’s 2023
The young quarterback has been somewhat of a disappointment to start things off this season, only recording 803 passing yards and four touchdowns, but has led Pittsburgh to a 2-2 start nonetheless. Pickett struggled while he was in the game against the Texans, only going for 114 yards passing along with an interception.
The quarterback is still listed as questionable for the game against the Ravens in week five and will determine whether or not Pickett can return to 100 percent health before the matchup. If he is not able to go, we could see backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky under center, which would not be the worst thing in the world for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
