Pittsburgh Steelers young quarterback Kenny Pickett was taken out of the game on Sunday against the Houston Texans due to an apparent leg injury. It has been reported that Pickett’s leg injury is not as serious as it was depicted in the game. Per Adam Schefter, he is not expected to miss much time at all if any.
Steelers’ QB Kenny Pickett is not expected to miss much if any time due to the knee injury that forced him to leave Sunday’s game, per sources. Pickett could try to push this week vs. Baltimore but the team also knows it has a bye the next week and could opt to rest him.

How the Injury Occurred
The Steelers’ quarterback went out of the game late in the third quarter while being down 16-6 to the Texans. Houston ended up crushing Pittsburgh 30-6 in a blowout that nobody saw coming. The quarterback was rolled up by a defender who put all of his weight on the leg that was injured. Pickett was not able to walk off the field under his own power as the training staff had to assist him off of the field.

The Steelers quarterback was then listed as “out” of the game, furthering the struggles for Pittsburgh to amount to any sort of comeback.
Kenny Pickett’s 2023
So far this season, Kenny Pickett has not met the standards that fans and analysts had for him. He has amounted to 803 passing yards and four touchdowns and has led the Steelers to a 2-2 record thus far. In the game against the Texans, the young quarterback struggled to get anything going, only going for 114 yards passing and an interception before he exited the game late in the third quarter.
Pickett is now listed as questionable to play in the Steelers week five matchup against their AFC North foe the Baltimore Ravens. If Pickett is a participant in this game, the Steelers have a great shot to upset their long-time rival.
