After the Kansas City Chiefs established their dynasty after their Super Bowl LVIII win, some Miami Dolphins fans thought about Tyreek Hill.
It must feel weird for the leading Dolphins wideout to see his former team thrive without him even if there’s still a #10-sized hole in the Chiefs’ wide receiver room.
As if he hears what everyone else is asking, Stephen A. Smith went ahead and voiced out what everyone was thinking.
Stephen A. Smith asks if Tyreek Hill regrets leaving Kansas City Chiefs
During the latest episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, the seasoned NFL analyst asked pointed questions that would make any Tyreek Hill fan think.
According to the Daily Mail’s Jake Fenner, Smith understands that Hill got the contract he deserves when he moved to South Beach. However, he asked if missing out on two Super Bowl rings was worth the pay check:
‘Now, let’s clarify. I ask that question strictly for football reasons. I know it’s a hell of a lot better in South Beach than it is in Kansas City. I get that. No argument there. No state income taxes in Florida, either. I get that, too. Warmer weather. I get that, too.
‘But I still say to you, for football reasons, playing with a quarterback, you sure you’re good with your decision to leave Patrick Mahomes? Matter of fact, we have to now start drawing a comparison.
When it comes to statistics, Hill is surely enjoying life in South Beach. The undisputed WR1 of the Miami WR room is getting his targets from Tua Tagovailoa, finishing the 2023 campaign with a league-leading 1799 receiving yards and 13 receiving TDs.
However, his Dolphins were unable to move in the frigid Kansas City weather as they fell to the Chiefs in the AFC Wild Card. It remains to be seen if Tua is the QB he needs to get back to the Super Bowl.
Until Tua actually brings the Dolphins to the big game, Hill might spend the next season wondering what if.
