The New York Jets fanbase is unimpressed with a veteran quarterback the team added to the practice in Week 4. The Jets have been looking to add a veteran to the roster after Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1.
Zach Wilson has been awful for the Jets since he took over for Rodgers. In his defense, Wilson’s offensive line is incompetent, and even more so after losing their left tackle before Week 3. Still, 26.7 QBR combined with a two-touchdown to four-interception ratio is unacceptable for a team that wants to be in the playoffs.
Many fans and pundits want Wilson replaced. However, head coach Robert Saleh said this week that Wilson is their best option. The veteran signing on Tuesday won’t help that.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Jets are signingTrevor Siemian to the practice squad.
