Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady has been retired from the league for a couple of years now, and it is unlikely he will ever return to the league. However, rumors are going around that he is the favorite candidate to join an NFL team as soon as this season due to their starting quarterback suffering a season-ending injury. Several quarterbacks are included in these odds, but Brady is on top of the rest of the candidates.

Tom Brady Rumors
There are some intriguing options on this list for the Browns to pick from, including Colin Kaepernick and Nick Foles, but it looks like Brady is favored to be the next quarterback in Cleveland. This comes in light of the season-ending injury to the Browns’ starting quarterback Deshaun Watson. Watson has been dealing with on-and-off injuries throughout the 2023 season, and it was revealed earlier this week that he will require surgery on his shoulder which will end his year.
Bringing in a guy like Brady would most likely propel the team to new heights. One of if not the greatest quarterbacks of all time playing with a stacked roster like Cleveland, throwing to Amari Cooper, and having a stout defense with players like Myles Garrett seems like a match made in heaven. However, the team is rolling with the rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson for now.
Cleveland Browns Season
Cleveland is currently sitting at a 6-3 record that has them in a tie for second place in the AFC North division with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have been finding a way to defeat their tough opponents this season, mostly because of the great defensive play. However, bringing in a quarterback like Brady would make them an instant contender for a Super Bowl.
The Browns will face off against the Steelers this weekend for sole possession of second place in the AFC North. Thompson-Robinson will be leading the Cleveland offense for the game, or at least to start things off, and many fans and analysts think that the team has too much potential this year to start a rookie for the rest of the year and that they should shop for a veteran quarterback like Brady.
