The one man that can carry the Chicago Bears. I got news for you, it’s not Justin Fields. His been disappointing so far this season but he’s still very young. The one man that can carry the Bears this season is Khalil Herbert.
Changing of the Guard?
David Montgomery is day to day with the leg injury he suffered Sunday but it looks like he will miss a few weeks. If he misses next week’s game and Herbert goes off again I think he is your new number one back. Even if Montgomery doesn’t miss any time Herbert will play the same amount as Montgomery. It’s only a matter of time. I do believe you are witnessing Montgomery’s last season as a Bear. Let’s not forget about Trestan Ebnar either. He’s going to get a chance to showcase his skills. This could even turn out to be a situation we’re the Bears may try and shop Montgomery.
Play Old School Football
The Bears see to have a one of those running games that’s s good you can’t show it down even when you know it’s coming. The defense causes turnovers, the line has been great at run blocking, you have a young mobile quarterback, and you have a two headed monster at running back. The Bears should run the ball forty times a game. Khalil Herbert is starting to look like one of those running backs that can carry your team. If he got the ball 30 times a game, the Bears would make the playoffs. I will settle for twenty carries a game.
On a side note, Bryon Pringle was placed on the IR today for a calf injury.
