The Tennessee Titans have been signing players left and right to start off the new league year. Earlier, they announced signings of free agents such as WR Calvin Ridley and QB Mason Rudolph. Now, the Titans have retained another player who was a free agent. Read below to find out more.
Tennessee Titans Sign K Nick Folk
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Titans plan on re-signing kicker Nick Folk. This comes after a great 2023 NFL season where Folk went 29/30 in field goal attempts and 28/30 in extra point attempts. The reported contract is for one year and will be worth up to $4.13 million in incentives.
Tennessee Titans and Nick Folk Moving Forward
What does this mean for the Titans and Folk? For the Titans, it means continuing to sign meaningful players this offseason. With the most projected salary cap space in the NFL, Tennessee certainly can afford to do so.
As for Folk, it means he gets a chance to continue a remarkable NFL career. Folk will be 40 years old this upcoming season. This will also be his 18th season in the NFL. Considering Folk is coming off of his most accurate field goal attempts season in his career, he is showing no signs of slowing down despite his age. We will have to see if this continues in 2024.
