The Tennessee Titans have a lot of work to do moving forward. After deciding that they were going to move forward with rookie QB Will Levis, it meant the likely end of Ryan Tannehill. Now, there appears to be a new quarterback coming to town to perhaps keep Levis honest. This quarterback started in a playoff game last season. Read below to find out more.
Tennessee Titans Signing Mason Rudolph
According to Mike Garafalo of the NFL Network, the Tennessee Titans are going to sign veteran QB Mason Rudolph. He is going to make a new start after spending six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. One highlight of that tenure was starting a playoff game for the Steelers over QB Kenny Pickett last season.
Mason Rudolph’s Stats and Contract
The contract will be an affordable one for the Titans. They are only signing him for one year and paying him just $3.62 million. Tennessee already has the most salary cap space available in the NFL. Now, it looks like they will still have room to sign key players in other positions.
So, what are the Titans getting with Rudolph? They are getting a quarterback who has started just 13 games in six seasons. Last year, he had 719 passing yards and three touchdown passes in four games. Now, Rudolph’s services will be available to back up Levis.
