Stephen A. Smith and Jason Whitlock have a long standing dislike of one another, and both have admitted that, beyond not seeing eye-to-eye, they straight up DO NOT like one another. Last year, a couple months back, here is how Stephen A described his feelings towards Whitlock:
“I think he’s a fat, no-good bastard who I despise to the core.”
I do not believe further information is required to assess Smith’s true feelings on the matter.
Whilst their beef has generally remained fairly dormant over the past couple of years, it fizzled up to the mainstream surface when Jason Whitlock made a series of allegations towards Stephen A. Smith . Whitlock suggested that Katt Williams, whilst on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ show, may have inadvertently revealed that Stephen A did not in fact write his own memoirs and that he is in fact an industry plant.

So Stephen A who is no stranger to controversy himself, responded on The Stephen A Smith Show in a scathing attack on the former ESPN columnist and Fox Sports sports talk host, which is well, something to behold.

Stephen A. Smith Responds To Jason Whitlock
This feud evidently runs considerably deeper and more toxic than almost any in the media could have realized. In qualifying his hatred on Whitlock, Stephen A professes his apologies to those in the past he has locked horns with:
“I’m a very forgiving person…I don’t care how many of you out there that hate me…I’m sorry, cause I certainly don’t hate y’all”
And using this, delivers a piercing monologue on Whitlock
“This is the exception…I hate this bastard…He is the worst human being any of you will ever meet”
Clearly striking words from a man who, in truth, does not shy away from hyperbole. However, it is fair to say that I do not believe anyone has heard him speak about anyone like this, so much so that Smith revealed he had to notify, among others, his pastor, before going on the air to deliver his speech about his long time foe.

Clearly, this will not be something that ends nicely or cordially, and it will be interesting to see if and how Jason Whitlock responds.
