It can be hard to bench players especially with bye weeks starting but sometimes it needs to be done. Here are sits for week 6 in fantasy football.
Najee Harris RB Pittsburgh Steelers

This one is painful because you may have taken Harris in the first round. Usually the player you take in the first round is an automatic start. However, he makes my list of sits for week 6 in fantasy football. The Pittsburgh Steelers offense is a mess. Kenny Pickett gives me more hope for some production but the offensive line has not done Harris any favors. While Harris has been buoyed by scoring and high volume, this week is a tough one. Tampa Bay boasts a top run defense. Yes Kansas City killed them on the ground but that was the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes not the Steelers and Kenny Pickett. Sit Harris this week.
Drake London WR Atlanta Falcons

While many managers are wondering what happened to Kyle Pitts, Drake London is having himself a nice season. He hasn’t necessarily been lighting it up but he has had enough opportunity to warrant starts in the flex position. This week he makes my list of sits for week 6 in fantasy football. The Falcons play the 49ers who boast a top defense. While they have some questions because of recent injuries, I still expect the unit to be able to shut down this Falcons offense. Only play London if you are really desperate because of bye weeks.
Cowboys Running Backs

Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard have had pretty good seasons. While many were down on Elliot, he has been a decent flex play. Pollard has been the one to break off big runs and find the end zone. Against the Eagles however, both players make my list of sits for week 6 in fantasy football. The Eagles run defense overall is nothing special but their splits between at home and on the road are staggering. At home this season, they are only allowing 66.5 rush yards a game compared to 130 on the road. This game is in Philadelphia and Cooper Rush is the probable starter meaning the Eagles can crowd the box. Don’t expect a lot from either of these players this week.
Hunter Henry TE New England Patriots

Last week, Hunter Henry had a nice game and in the year of the terrible tight ends, 4 catches for 54 yards excites many managers. For this week, Hunter Henry makes my list of sits for week 6 in fantasy football. Last week was against a Lions defense that teams can cut through like warm Jell-O. Their opponent this week, the Cleveland Browns, are allowing the second fewest points to tight ends this season. Also, there is only so long that Bailey Zappe has before defense start to figure him out and give him a rough time. I know it is tough this year but try and find another tight end to slot in for this week.
Justin Herbert QB Los Angeles Chargers

This is another example of a pick that fantasy managers were hoping would be an automatic play every week. This week, Justin Herbert makes my list of sits for week 6 in fantasy football. The Chargers offensive line has looked shaky since key players went out with injuries. They also play a great Denver defense this week. Unlike the offense, Denver’s defense has been dominant on the field. They have racked up 16 sacks over the first five games and while they lost last week, they did not give up a touchdown. I expect Herbert to be under distress for most of the game.
Week 6 begins a lot of make or break matchups for teams who have started off slow. This list of sits for week 6 in fantasy football has some high profile names on it. Fantasy football is all about calculated risks. As always, go with your gut and good luck!
