Over the past several seasons, the Cincinnati Bengals have devoted their entire free agency windows to protecting their greatest asset. After elite quarterback Joe Burrow tore his ACL halfway through his rookie season, the organization has put an enormous amount of time and capital into keeping the LSU product safe. That effort continued just a few weeks ago when the team signed offensive tackle Trent Brown to a “prove-it” deal. Unfortunately, the result on the field simply hasn’t matched the investment by the front office.
