With injuries, you never know what the healing process can look like. But when you have a broken bone in your back as Colorado Buffaloes’ Shedeur Sanders did, your post-injury journey may be even more intense and difficult.
But, that 2023 injury along with getting sac’d 53 times isn’t holding Sanders back anymore. Healed and refreshed, there is no doubt Sanders is ready to tackle the upcoming season.
Sanders is beginning to look like a promising 2025 NFL Draft quarterback prospect. Sanders has impressive stats which include him throwing for 3,320 yards and 27 touchdowns. Sanders is now ready to get back on the field and will be a part of spring training.
According to ESPN, Coach Prime, Sander’s father, stated that his son his beyond excited about the linemen who are coming in. He now has the support and protection he needs for him to focus on his performance.
Sanders is ready to get back out there and perform better than ever since he had all winter to recover, heal, and strengthen his previously injured back.
Sanders said he feels great, similar to the great beginning of last season. He has a knew sense of confidence and mental and physical strength. This off-season Sanders put in the work and trained a lot. He feels comfortable in his body and is ready to put everything to the test.
He’s been doing a weight-room work out that slowly built him up to where he feels 100% again. His new strength, stability, and power has provided Sanders with the confidence to move forward like he was never injured.
Sanders’s new found confidence had him stating, “I’m biased, but I don’t see a quarterback that’s better than me. I don’t see a quarterback that went through as much adversity as me, that had four different OCs in four years” (Matthew Brown, Gridiron Heroics 2024).
Sanders’s first spring game is approaching and he is more than ready to get back on the field and demonstrate his ability to not succumb to injuries and unfortunate situations.
