Where will Sean Payton go? That seems to be the most popular question in this head coaching cycle in the NFL. Dan Quinn decided to withdraw his name once again and run it back with the Dallas Cowboys, and Payton now becomes easily the most coveted coach on the market.
The problem is there is draft compensation needed to land Sean Payton since he is still under contract with the New Orleans Saints.
The Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals are a couple of teams with interest, although the Denver Broncos make the most sense from all viewpoints.
On Thursday, a report came out that Payton had an issue during the interview with the Broncos.
The Panthers are no longer an option for Sean Payton. And there was an issue with Payton's interview with the Broncos. Payton likes the idea of coaching Russell Wilson and having that defense but fears a potential power struggle with a member of the ownership group, source says.

Mark Maske of The Washington Post reported that the Panthers are no longer an option and then mentioned a potential issue from Payton’s end with the Broncos.
A couple of hours later, Payton took to Twitter and refuted this report.
Zero truth to this. We had a great visit and@Broncos Ownership was fantastic!! https://t.co/PU9dP50bSg

Who knows what is going on, but Payton was quick to take to Twitter and share his thoughts.
Broncos reporter Benjamin Albright also touched on the Payton-Broncos rumors:
I don't believe that Sean Payton is in play for the Denver Broncos at all anymore.
He was never their top option. https://t.co/0VVn6QUj00

The coaching carousel is full of all types of rumors, and the Cardinals, Colts, Panthers, Texans, and Broncos should make a decision fairly quickly, although some might wait for 49ers DC DeMeco Ryans.
On the other hand, there is a chance that Sean Payton doesn’t get a job, and teams wait until next year when he is officially a free agent.
Only time will tell whether or not Payton gets a job this time around.
