The San Francisco 49ers have been dealing with injuries to their best players this week. Running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and tackle Trent Williams have all been dealing with injuries that can jeopardize their status for Monday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. All three players have missed practice on Thursday and Friday this week, listing them as questionable to play. This report comes from NFL analyst and insider Adam Schefter via Twitter.
No practice again today for a second straight day for Christian McCaffrey (oblique), Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and Trent Williams (ankle). 49ers play Monday night in Minnesota.

Christian McCaffrey
The San Francisco star running back has been dealing with an oblique injury he suffered in last week’s loss against the Cleveland Browns. He was taken out of the game and did not return to action, which played a huge part in the offensive struggles for the 49ers.
McCaffrey has been on a tear this season, amounting to 553 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in the first six games of the season. He has been the best player on the offense for San Francisco, and if he is unable to participate in this week’s game, it could seriously hurt the 49ers’ chances of taking home the win.
Deebo Samuel
The star receiver suffered a shoulder injury in last week’s loss. Samuel was also taken out of the game and did not return, causing quarterback Brock Purdy to struggle to find any success. Luckily for 49ers’ fans, it does not sound like the injury is long-term and he should be able to participate on Monday Night Football.
In the first six games of the 2023 season, Samuel has gone for 302 receiving yards and a touchdown with an average of 15.1 yards per reception. If he is unable to go this week, Purdy will most likely have a hard time spreading the ball out to his other pass catchers.
Trent Williams
The best offensive tackle in the league has been dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered last week. Like McCaffrey and Samuel, he also did not return to the action. Good news for San Francisco fans, it looks like he will be able to go this week, which will give a massive boost to the offensive line.
Williams has played in 169 games over his decorated career. He is a 10-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-pro and has made a strong contender for the best offensive tackle to play the game. In the unlikely event that he is not able to participate in Monday’s game, it will certainly affect the way San Francisco calls their plays.
San Francisco 49ers’ Success
The 49ers are one of the best teams in the National Football League with a 5-1 record with their only loss coming from last week in Cleveland. These key injuries certainly played a huge factor in the struggles the team had offensively. We will see if the story stays the same this week.
