Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson is officially listed as questionable to play in this week’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Watson did not play in the game last week against the San Francisco 49ers due to a shoulder injury. He is trending to get the start this week but it is still undetermined if he will be a participant. This report comes from NFL insider Tom Pelissero via Twitter.

Deshaun Watson Injury
Watson was cleared this week to return to practice after being medically cleared by doctors. He was asked by reporters if he would be able to suit up this week, and he responded, “I think so, it just depends on the process of the medical stuff and the treatment and the rehab that we’re doing day to day. It’s up in the air for sure.”
The former Pro Bowler suffered what is believed to be a “micro-tear” of his rotator cuff in the week three matchup against the Tennessee Titans. He was unable to participate in the games against the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers as a result. It is still uncertain whether or not he will be fully healed in time for Sunday’s game.
Cleveland Browns’ Success
So far in the 2023 season, Watson has amounted to 678 passing yards and four touchdowns. He has not had the best start to the season, luckily for him, though, he has one of if not the best defenses in the National Football League. Cleveland has gotten off to a 3-2 start and looks like a playoff contender so far.
Watson will likely not know his status for week seven until either the day before or he will be a game-time decision. The Browns were able to beat the 49ers last week without him, so they should be able to handle the Colts even without their starter in the lineup.
