Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown didn’t hide his frustration following the team’s ugly loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. However, he’s not letting the defeat demoralize him. After all, they still have work to do as they continue to gear up for the postseason.
The Eagles let a win slip away on Monday Night Football after allowing Drew Lock to propel the Seahawks to a come-from-behind win. Leading 17-13 with less than 30 seconds left, all Philly needed to do was hold on and make sure to get some much needed stops. Put simply, they didn’t.
Lock staged a 10-play, 92-yard drive capped off by a 29-yard touchdown pass to Jaxson Smith-Njigba to help the Seahawks secure the 20-17 upset. It was certainly a stunning turn of events, especially when one considers the fact that Seattle didn’t even have their QB1 in Geno Smith due to injury.
After the game, Brown admitted that it was definitely a rather disappointing turn if events for him and the Eagles. They came in as heavy favorites and appeared to be on their way to victory, but they failed to get the job done and didn’t do themselves any favor in the playoff seeding battle.
Despite that, though, AJ Brown highlighted that the Philadelphia Eagles don’t have time to sulk and cry over spilled milk. As he emphasized, he is well aware of what kind of player he is, and so he will continue to be the same while trying to work on all aspects of his game.
“I’m disappointed, but I’m not discouraged. I know what type of football player I am and I just have to focus on my job and getting ready to play and try to get my guys in the room ready to play,” Brown said, via Zach Berman of PHLY.
“Everything else is out of our control. We run routes, we get the ball, we catch the ball, we try to make plays. Other than that, we can’t control the other stuff. As much as we don’t like it, there’s nothing that we can do about it.”
Perhaps the Eagles can learn a thing or two from Brown’s mentality. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. They could really use some of that mantra as they hope to get back to the win column sooner rather than later.
AJ Brown Goes Viral With Philadelphia Eagles for Wrong Reasons
While the Philadelphia Eagles will appreciate AJ Brown’s strong mentality, the 26-year-old wideout did make headlines on Monday for the wrong reasons.
For those who missed it, Brown was the talk of the town after he had a sideline confrontation with a Seattle Seahawks staffer who bumped him after he shoved cornerback Michael Jackson.

Fortunately, it didn’t escalate and cool heads prevailed. It would have been an ugly scene had the players and the staff on the sidelines get into a physical altercation. That’s definitely the last thing the Eagles needed at that point.
The Eagles return to action in Week 16 when they play the New York Giants. If they want to stay in contention for the top seed in the NFC, they really need to win that contest and beyond.
