Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has agreed to a deal with a team that is not the 49ers, despite the previous two years of his return to the team. Garoppolo has agreed to a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. After months of speculation about where he would end up, the decision has been made. Here is some information on the pending deal.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo Agrees to Deal with Raiders
It was speculated that Garoppolo would end up with the Las Vegas Raiders, but per Adam Schefter via Twitter, an agreement has been reached. Garoppolo has signed a three-year deal, worth $67.5 million. Jimmy Garoppolo’s deal also includes $34 million guaranteed.
One of the biggest reasons this deal went so quickly, is that both Garoppolo and the Raiders’ head coach, Josh McDaniels are from the New England Patriots. McDaniels will already know how to coach for Garoppolo, and the quarterback will have two big receivers to work with this year, with Davante Adams and Darren Waller.

There is also a chance that the San Francisco 49ers will get a comp pick from this deal, but that will be more information for another time. With the Raiders having a poor season, it is not off the table for them to still draft a quarterback with the 7th pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. It would depend on who falls to them.
