Pittsburgh Steelers 2022-2023 Season Record Projection

There are many unknowns for the Pittsburgh Steelers heading into the 2022-2023 NFL regular season. Who will start at quarterback is perhaps the most asked question among Steelers Nation right now. The AFC North is going to be tough this year. The Ravens and Bengals have proven franchise QBs who know how to win. The Browns could potentially have a franchise QB depending on what happens with Deshaun Watson’s sexual assault cases. That leaves the Steelers in the basement of the AFC North when it comes to the QB position. Either Kenny Pickett or Mitchell Trubisky will likely start week 1 at Cinicinnati. Here are my projections for the Steelers in the 2022-2023 season.

    • Week 1 @ Bengals      –  Steelers 21 / Bengals 31       (0-1)
    • Week 2 vs Patriots     –  Patriots 17 / Steelers 24       (1-1)
    • Week 3 @ Browns      –  Steelers 27 / Browns 24       (2-1)
    • Week 4 vs Jets            –  Jets 13 / Steelers 24               (3-1)
    • Week 5 @ Bills            –  Steelers 17 / Bills 28              (3-2)
    • Week 6 vs Bucs          –  Bucs 24 / Steelers 21             (3-3)
    • Week 7 @ Dolphins    –  Steelers 31 / Dolphins 27     (4-3)
    • Week 8 @ Eagles        –  Steelers 17 / Eagles 27         (4-4)
    • Week 10 vs Saints       –  Saints 14 / Steelers 31          (5-4)
    • Week 11 vs Bengals     –  Bengals 21 / Steelers 24      (6-4)
    • Week 12 @ Colts          –  Steelers 23 / Colts 27           (6-5)
    • Week 13 @ Falcons     –  Steelers 31 / Falcons 27        (7-5)
    • Week 14 vs Ravens      –  Ravens 24 / Steelers 17         (7-6)
    • Week 15 @ Panthers.  –  Steelers 28 / Panthers 24     (8-6)
    • Week 16 vs Raiders     –  Raiders 34 / Steelers 17         (8-7)
    • Week 17 @ Ravens       –  Steelers 16 / Ravens 23         (8-8)
    • Week 18 vs Browns      –  Browns 10 / Steelers 24        (9-8)

Pittsburgh Steelers FINAL RECORD PROJECTION (9-8): Miss Postseason by a game

It’s going to be tough for Pittsburgh to get on any winning streaks the way their schedule is setup. The Steelers don’t really have any gimme wins given the circumstances this year. It would be a successful season to see them sneak into the playoffs as a wild card team.
