There has been a lot of speculation about the Philadelphia Eagles following their collapse this season, including where quarterback Jalen Hurts‘ future with the team stands. While there is no official status of the quarterback being traded this season, the dysfunction in the locker room has everyone feeling like something went very wrong. While nobody knows the real reason for sure, Pro Football Talk suggests that Hurts could be traded away as soon as this offseason.
Jalen Hurts Trade Rumors
According to the report, it is speculated that this problem with the locker room could have to do with their franchise quarterback. Mike Florio brings up that Philadelphia could trade Hurts if they feel like doing so, and the quarterback agrees to waive his no-trade clause according to his contract. The team would have to find a suitor for Hurts if they do deal him away, and several teams could be interested in the idea.
If the Eagles and QB Jalen Hurts decide they both need a fresh start, his contract structure makes it very easy to trade him — assuming there's a suitor willing to take on a deal that pays out $44.33 million, on average, over the next three years. https://t.co/S6mDoHKs1S

Philadelphia Eagles Fans React
Eagles fans reacted strongly to this report saying that this would never happen and that it does not make any sense. They are saying that Hurts is their franchise quarterback and that the team would never trade him away.
WTF are you talking about? Eagles aren't trading Jalen.

This is one hell of a take. How the conversation in Philly can go from legit SB contenders to changing their HC and Franchise QB is insane. I thought Jets Nation was nuts.

Will Jalen Hurts Be Traded?
It is clear that Hurts is still a fan favorite in Philadelphia, and this report is all speculative. However, no one can deny that the Eagles had some serious locker room problems during their horrific collapse at the end of the season, and Hurts could be a part of the problem. Towards the end of the Eagles’ loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC wild card game, the cameras pointed to the Philadelphia sideline, showing players yelling at the quarterback on the bench while he just sat in look of disappointment.
Philadelphia would have to find a team willing to take on the quarterback’s contract, which has $18.623 million still unpaid, but, if a team trades a player or players worth around the same amount, it could become a potential blockbuster. Do you think Hurts will remain in Philadelphia at least until the end of his contract, or will the shock the NFL world and deal him to another team?
