After 13 seasons and a Hall of Fame-bound career, Jason Kelce has announced his retirement from the NFL. During that press conference, the Philadelphia Eagles star seemingly made several references to his brother’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Coming in from the University of Cincinnati, Kelce was drafted by the Eagles using the 191st pick in the 2011 Draft. Since then, the center has won the Super Bowl in 2017, made the All-Pro First Team six times, was selected to seven Pro Bowls, and was named to two All-Big East Second Teams in 2009 and 2010.
Apart from those accomplishments, Kelce won acclaim when he made a passionate speech about his team, Philadelphia’s staff, and Eagles fans who have waited to win the championship while dressed as a summer. This moment garnered the center national attention after the team won the Super Bowl in 2017.
With 13 years, a Super Bowl, and a string of accomplishments under his name, Kelce has hanged up his boots. Without a doubt, the Eagles star will make his way to the Hall of Fame in no time at all.

In his speech, Kelce thanked Philadelphia for the time he spent playing there. “I found my career being fulfilled in the City of Brotherly Love, I knew that relationship all too well,” Kelce said.
Taylor Swift fans recognized the musician’s hit “All Too Well” and thought the older Kelce brother referenced the said song. Whatever the case, may be the Eagles star deserves his flowers after an incredible career in the NFL.
