DiSandro gained notoriety during a brief sideline scuffle with San Francisco 49ers Dre Greenlaw. The NFL fined Greenlaw $10,927 for his actions in the ordeal. Meanwhile, DiSandro was banned from the sidelines during the Eagles’ game last Sunday.
Dom Disandro: Eagles Security Chief Banned
Dom Disandro became a topic of conversation after an altercation with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw during the Eagles’ loss in Week 13. Greenlaw suplexed Philadelphia Eagles wideout DeVonta Smith near the Eagles’ sideline, resulting in a short scuffle. Greenlaw and Disandro came face to face, exchanging words and shoves. San Francisco’s second-level defender earned an ejection and monetary penalty, while Disnadro also got the early boot. Per the AP News, Disandro can still travel with the team and carry out all his other duties except those that require his presence on the team’s sideline.
Philadelphia Eagles: Amid Rough Two-Game Stretch
The Eagles have lost two straight games by a combined 43 points. The secondary has played poorly, allowing 585 yards and six passing touchdowns during that span. The offense has been equally disappointing, with quarterback Jalen Hurts finishing last week’s loss against the Dallas Cowboys without a touchdown. However, despite the recent woes, the Eagles sit atop the NFC East, tied with the Cowboys for the division lead. Additionally, they still have a fighting chance to earn the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Eagles face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night and are a slight favorite.
