The Green Bay Packers have given the offense over to Jordan Love. Everyone in Green Bay has been interested in the Utah State product ever since he was drafted in 2020. Packers fans are not the only ones interested in the quarterback. Peyton Manning stopped by training camp to give Love some advice.
Peyton Manning Stops By Training Camp To Visit With Jordan Love
Love revealed some of the questions Manning asked him in an interview with reporters.
“How are you asking to be coached? Are you a guy that wants to be coached really hard? Are you a guy that kind of just wants to go do your own thing? It all matters. [Manning] said that when he was a player, that was his biggest thing is he wanted to be coached really hard. He always wanted to be told what he was doing wrong and things like that.”
They talked a lot about how communication was the key to the Colts’ success under Manning. Love talked about how he feels the Packers’ offense and coaching staff are building a foundation of strong communication.
Can The Packers Nab A Playoff Spot?
If you start to look up and down the depth chart, this team has a lot of talent. Jaire Alexander, Preston Smith, and Rashan Gary are defensive stars. If players like Eric Stokes and Devonte Wyatt can improve, this could be a scary group. On offense, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are a formidable backfield duo. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs have looked great in camp so far and the offensive line should be top half of the league. This is a recipe for making the playoffs. Even if they don’t win the division, a weak NFC means they could easily nab a wild card spot.
It is interesting to see Peyton Manning take such an interest in Jordan Love. While opinions are differing on the quarterback, it’s clear that Manning at least wants to see him succeed.
