Which off-season additions will have the most impact on their new nfl team? That’s what we’re here to answer and in this article we head to the AFC South. Every off-season these NFL teams cut and add players to build a championship team. Let’s dive into which newcomers will make the biggest impact.
Indianapolis Colts – Matt Ryan
The Indianapolis Colts had a very productive off-season this year and they got a lot better. The biggest acquisition for them would have to be Matt Ryan. I believe he will also be the biggest difference maker for the Colts this season. In Atlanta he consistently put up great numbers on a down sliding team. The Colts are alot better of a team so I see him having more success and putting up crazy numbers this year.
Jacksonville Jaguars – Travon Walker
The Jacksonville Jaguars had one of the best draft class in the NFL. They added a lot of players that will have instant impact. Yet in all actuality the most important addition to this team was hiring Doug Pederson as head coach. Even though the choice should be Pederson I’m supposed to pick a player. So the most impactful new player on the Jaguars will be Travon Walker. Walker is a unique and versatile talent with incomparable upside. His length, speed, power, and football intelligence will immediately make this defense a nightmare to go against. Then he’s being focused as outside linebacker across from Josh Allen who registered 7.5 sacks last year. The pair will be sack machines giving quarterbacks nightmares about facing them.
Houston Texans – Derek Stingley Jr
The Texans had a really good off-season which was the trend for struggling teams this year. They traded Deshaun Watson for a load of draft picks and made smart decisions in free agency and the draft. This was still a pretty easy decision though. Derek Stingley Jr is the best cornerback in a deep draft class. His combination of measurables, athleticism, and football play. In 2019 he had a pro football focus grade of 91.7 before two years of injuries. If Stingley can stay healthy he will be a generational lockdown corner.
Tennessee Titans – Treylon Burks
The Tennessee Titans made a controversial decision to trade away AJ Brown and immediately pick his replacement in the first round of the draft. Treylon Burks is a big framed wide receiver at 6’2 225 pounds with a ton of upside. He has all the tools and skill to be an elite wide receiver so if he does the Titans move is genius. If he doesn’t then they have a big hole at wide receiver this year.
Those out the picks that I feel will be the most impactful to their new team. Check out my picks in other divisions and let me know what you think.
