Barkley will be leaving the New York Giants but staying in the NFC East. On Monday afternoon, it was announced that the star running back signed with the Eagles for a three year contract that could be worth more than $40 million and $26 million guaranteed.

NFL and ESPN Insider Adam Schefter was the first to break the news, and he broke down in detail the contract. Saquon is set to sign a huge deal with the Eagles, and will be the second highest running back in NFL history.
“Former Giants RB Saquon Barkley reached agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million contract that could be worth up to $46.75M and includes $26M fully guaranteed at signing, per sources,” he reported.
“Barkley now beats the franchise tag number and has a maximum average-per-year salary of $15.833M, which would be second highest for a RB in NFL History
Barkley had other options as well, so the Eagles had to give him the right number.
