The Philadelphia Eagles ended the season on a very poor note dropping their final 6 of 7 games including a playoff Wild Card loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There was speculation following the end of the season that the team may move off their head coach Nick Sirianni following the poor performance. The team decided to retain the coach, as he has already gotten to a Super Bowl, and elite receiver A.J. Brown thinks it was great decision to keep Sirianni at the helm.
Philadelphia Eagles’ A.J. Brown Backs Nick Sirianni
It has been officially reported now that the team has zero plans of moving the elite receiver Brown, and that those reports were complete rumors. Brown will definitely be an Eagle for years to come. He was candid about his confidence in the coach saying:
“We wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for him,” Brown said in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer. “He’s a great teacher, great coach, great person. Me, I don’t have any doubt. I don’t think the team has any doubt. I think it was just Philly media, fans, or whatever, they just have the question because it didn’t end the way we all would like. But sometimes you go through adversity. Sometimes some stuff is just not meant for you at that right time and you’ve just got to weather that storm.”
He made sure to iterate that the team has full confidence in Nick, and that all the reports were just the media trying to create a story when it was not there. He was further quoted about his confidence in the coach saying:
“You can’t let your confidence waver, either. I haven’t seen his confidence waver. My confidence has definitely not wavered.”
Brown is clear that he and the team have full confidence that Sirianni is the guy to bring the city a Super Bowl, and he has gotten very close before.
Kellen Moore Is In At Offensive Coordinator
After the reinstating of Nick Sirianni the team turned to replacing both coordinators for next year. Kellen Moore has been brought in to help the offense in 2024, and he just may be the perfect coach to get the offense back to what it was. For Brown, Moore should be a huge help as top receivers have always done very well in Moore’s systems.
Moore will have a lot to work with in Philly as the team has elite weapons everywhere and a top quarterback in Jalen Hurts. Brown was on pace for historic numbers this season before everything came crashing down, and in Moore’s offense Brown should be able to get back to being one of the best in the league. While there were many reports of the tam losing faith in Sirianni during the season, Brown made it clear that the locker room is behind him for 2024.
