The Philadelphia Eagles had a brutal end to their season, after making the Super Bowl one year ago. The team has recently been making huge changes after losing in the Wild Card round, including adding an elite offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore. There was a lot of speculation about the teams number one star receiver A.J. Brown, and that he may be playing elsewhere next year. Now those rumors have been put to bed.
Philadelphia Eagles Are Not Sending A.J. Brown Anywhere
It has now been reported that the team is not going to move the elite receiver anywhere and that all those rumors are nonsense. It has now been reported that they were never thinking to move off him as an insider was quoted saying:
“We’re not trading AJ Brown. We haven’t looked into it, we haven’t discussed it. We are not trading him. You can print that,” a source told NFL insider Ben Allbright.
This team need Brown if they want to find themselves in the Super Bowl again, as he is arguably their most important piece on offense and it showed in the playoffs when they did not have him in the lineup. Brown was quoted on all of this trade talk saying:
“I’m prepared to focus on my family at home and get better in the offseason then just seeing where this thing go you know,” he admitted. “It’s just chatter, though.”
A.J. Brown Is Going to Be An Eagle For A While
Brown was the best receiver for the team this year and he was on pace for historic numbers this year until week 8 when the team collapsed losing their last 6 of 7 games. With new OC Kellen Moore, the offense should look much better next season. The team is stacked on offense all around and although they may lose a few of their veterans, this team has all they need to be the best team in the NFL.
Brown will also be happy to stay in Philly as he has developed a great connection with their elite quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts benefits from Brown and fellow receiver Devonte Smith as they are arguably the best two receiver tandem in the league. Now that this A.J. Brown trade nonsense has been extinguished, this team can put their full focus into next season as they have their offense and their new OC to start planning for their future success.
