This years NFL playoffs saw many incredible games. The Kansas City Chiefs against the Miami Dolphins however, was not one of them. To make matters even worse for Miami, not only did they get hammered by the Chiefs in sub-zero temperatures, the team also left Kansas City with over $45,000 worth of their equipment missing. Someone apparently stole one of their box trucks just one day after the game, and now, thankfully, it appears the team will get a little justice.
Prosecutors Charge Man For Stealing Miami Dolphins Equipment
According to KMBC, there has now been a man charged by Jackson County prosecutors for breaking into the Dolphins truck. Joseph Brown is the man who is listed on the charge. According to the report, the crime went down a day after the game in downtown Kansas City.
The investigators linked the crime to Brown after finding the suspects vehicle, a Ford-F150 at the suspects home. They found a stolen Dolphins coat with the suspect and because of that they issued a search warrant. Following that, much more stolen Dolphins gear and equipment was found leading to the chargers against Brown.
NFL: Reports On Stolen Miami Dolphins Equipment
As per the report of the NFL investigation:
“Police reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect’s vehicle, a gray Ford F-150. Later that day, the truck was found with equipment boxes matching the description of the Dolphins’ equipment,” the outlet reported.
“Detectives surveilled the home and saw a truck matching the suspect’s description depart the area to a second location, where a stolen Miami Dolphins coat was found.
“Days later, a search warrant was executed at the home in the 2000 block of Askew Ave, revealing stolen Dolphins coats and other items, including burnt items with a Dolphins logo.”
We have seen something like this before as Tom Brady has his Super Bowl Jersey stolen, but this was a legitimate heist of the Miami Dolphins equipment. It is good to know that the man was charged and the team should get a little justice for the crime that took place.
