Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones has been shut out from the team facility for the past several weeks. He has taken to social media to air his complaints even making some wild accusations about the general manager and owner of the team. The situation has gotten strange with Jones claiming that he was taken to the hospital “against my will”.
Las Vegas Raiders Chandler Jones Situation
On Monday night, Jones posted a series of journal entries to social media. In it, he claimed that five to seven Las Vegas Fire Department members told him that he had been put on a “court hold” by the police department. He was then taken to the Seven Hills Behavioral Health Hospital in Las Vegas. Jones further claims that he was injected with a substance against his will and the hospital violated multiple patient rights laws. “I haven’t done anything wrong. The police said people were concerned about me because of my posts online,” he wrote.
A Strange Situation
“I’m still confused on what I did wrong. I’m stuck here. I’m very sane,” he wrote adding “I’m to strong of a person to be mentally broken.” This situation keeps going from bad to worse. Initially, it seemed like a classic case of the Raiders botching another situation with a player. Now, it seems like there is more going on than simply that. The Raiders have been completely silent on the matter, rightfully so, and declined any further comment besides that the situation is private.
I would highly doubt that we ever see Chandler Jones in a Las Vegas Raiders uniform ever again. Even if he does come back, it will likely be with another team. This is an ongoing situation and it seems like every week we get a new wrinkle.
